Our Company

Our company is built on the principles of making quality MRI studies - the best possible for everyone and providing safe reliable service.  Ask your own doctor do they understand the dangers of MR contrast?  Do they know which ones are safe?  Do they know which providers they refer to - and what contrasts they use?  I think you will be surprised that they do not know the answers.  Some providers in Delaware use the LEAST safe contrast and hope that you as a patient do not find out about this.  I have tried to inform as many people as I can.  This website is only one way I have tried.  But safe contrast should be a key issue with every patient!

Our company has an innovative approach,  we bought the best technology and plan on improving it over time by upgrading our 3T MRI Siemens Trio and our newly added 1.5T Siemens Espree - the widest and most comfortable MRI in the world.   The Siemens 70 cm bore scanners are the widest in the world.  In todays rapidly moving MR landscape the 70cm scanner is the best on the market and the most comfortable for the patient.  Only Siemens has a 70 cm (OPEN BORE) magnet at both 1.5T and 3T.  We believe that we can improve our MRIs by constantly offering the newest technology, and listening to the customer.  Our OPEN BORE scanner is preferred by 94% of patients who have scans on other machines.  It is that much better!  Come and see it for yourself.  It has a TV installed in the ceiling you can watch during your studies.  www.bestopenmri.net

We care about the patients and also are kind and compassionate.  WE offer IV sedation for free.  We offer free creatinine serum tests using a 2 min ISTAT-1 for free.  Other facilities charge you for this test.  WE do it for free.  This is for patients over 60.  Below 60 if you want your kidney function tested we will do it for free.

The Siemens technology - OPEN BORE mri - is preferred by 94% of patients.  If you ever have had an uncormfortable MRI exam you should look into the widest MRI scanners in the world.  Yale University has just announced they are buying three 3T Verio scanners.  They and Johns Hopkins and Temple University have all settled on the 3T Verio being the worlds best MRI scanner.

Our unique service has established our place in Delaware.  We have the only MRI office totally designed for MRI.  It has huge home theatre screens in the waiting room to calm down pediatric patients.  We can also offer conscious sedation for both children and adults.  In Children we prefer chloral hydrate that the pediatrician prescribes.  In adults we offer IV valium sedation.  There is no additional charge for valium sedation.   We have the only 3T MRI system in Delaware.  We have the only 1.5T Espree with B17 software which is the latest that the Siemens corporation offers.  This has many new capabilities.  One of those is a special MR angiography sequence called NATIVE. This allows us to make MRI angiograms without any contrast injection and substantially makes the process of an MR angiogram safer for our clients.   SWI imaging makes the 1.5T scan much more sensitive for patients with head trauma.  This is absolutely crucial for patients returning from a war zone who have been exposed to severe trauma or patients in auto accidents who also experience trauma.  Your physician should know about this advance but I would guess that if you asked him or her about the benefits of SWI - they would not know.  Do a web search. SWI is the best way to find hemorrhage in the brain at 1.5T.  It is remarkable.

We believe that investing in our technology benefits our patients.  The physicians who are ordering these advanced studies have not kept up with the newest technology and sometimes do not know to send their patients for truly amazing and safe MRI exams.   I was talking to a prominent oncologist the other day and he did not know about REVEAL or breathold abdominal MRI or BLADE.  I doubt he would know about SWI and endometriosis.

Other firms might say otherwise but ask them if they can do some of the following:

1mm thick contiguous FLAIR imaging for Multiple Sclerosis - without contrast.(At 3T)

2mm thick contiguous T2W imaging in the musculoskeletal system and spine which means we can pick up much more subtle lesions.  Sometimes I have to say we see so clearly that I really hate to look at the less detailed images at 1.5T.  But I have to say that high field 1.5T images are fine in many cases.  Our 1.5T Espree has 18 channels which helps it compete with our 3T scanner.  The OPEN BORE MRI system is both comfortable and makes beautiful images of the spine.  The 3T images are just better.  Faster and easier to interpret.  And this means that we see or make more accurate diagnoses without any extra cost to the patient.  We charge the same as at 1.5T.

Is your magnet strength 3T or 1.5T or less.  3T is better.  1.5T is standard.  Anything less is not optimal.

Does your facility have BLADE - the newest advance in MRI technology.  If a patient is moving on a routine scan we just add BLADE which takes images in a different way to freeze patient motion.  Each blade has motion correction built into it.  So you get sharp pictures even in uncooperative patients.  It truly is amazing.  It is a new revolution in MRI.

NATIVE is a pulse gated angiography sequence that gives remarkable image of the vascular system without any injections.  It uses the fact your blood is moving to make an image.  Again this is a significant change in the detail we can see - all from advances in MRII software.

REVEAL is the latest advance.  A recent paper from John's Hopkins suggested it could revolutionaize breast imaging.  We use it to detect small or subtle pancreatic cancers.  It is useful for characerization of GI and liver tumors.  It also is a huge advance in oncologic imaging.  What frustrates me as a radiologist is that I cannot convince my physician colleagues to ask for these advances.

SWI revolutionizes the way we can see hemorrhage in the brain.

3T MRI is safe.  It is able to see 40%-300%  more lesions in patients with MS.  With new software MRI is entering a new phase of competition with other imaging tests. It simply is better and does not cost that much more.  Get the best!
